Reiten Boatyard Condominiums is a beachfront condominium – motel complex of 22 privately owned units. Located on the south side of Bayfield, the condos are an easy walk to everything the City of Bayfield has to offer – shops, galleries, museums, restaurants and the terminal for the Madeline Island ferry.  Adjacent to the Halvor Reiten Memorial Park, the units are just steps away from one of the city’s public beaches.

Halvor Reiten was a commercial fisherman on Lake Superior. He also built boats, and later owned and ran his own boatyard for many years. The condominiums are situated on the site of the former Reiten Boatyard. The boatyard was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, but was removed after it was demolished in 1984 following Reiten’s death at a ripe old age.

Reiten Boatyard Condominiums provide relaxed, lakefront accommodations with incredible views of Chequamegon Bay, Lake Superior and Madeline Island.
