General Information Regarding Rental Units at Reiten Boatyard
• Location
Reiten Boatyard is a great, convenient location for guests and residents. Reiten Boatyard is the only residential/ rental facility on Lake Superior. One of Bayfield’s public beaches is our next-door neighbor and the city’s Recreation Center (swimming pool) is across the street. Two local fish markets are within two blocks. Reiten is also within easy walking distance to downtown shops, galleries and restaurants; museums and ferry/cruise services.
• Guest Access
Reiten Boatyard uses a no contact check-in and check-out system. Once you have a confirmed reservation you will receive an email with an access code for the unit you have reserved. When you arrive, enter the code sequence on the door keypad, and the latch will unlock. The system will relock with about 5 seconds. In order to have the door unlocked for convenience during your stay simply turn the thumb knob on the interior of the entry to the vertical position. To reset to the automatic locking position, turn the thumb knob back to the horizontal position.
• Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in is typically 3:00 p.m. Early check-in is sometimes possible if you ask with enough lead time to schedule the staff to accommodate your request. If the Unit is not booked the night prior to your stay, early access may be arranged. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. When you depart, please text the number alerting staff to you departure. Please be sure to include the unit # in the text.
• Quiet and Sensitivity to Neighbors
The Reiten Boatyard property is a multi-unit complex. Please be considerate of your neighbors. We want everyone to enjoy their stay, and being sensitive to and courteous of neighbors will make that possible. If you have reserved a second-floor unit, be aware that even light foot traffic can be heard in the downstairs units and will be disruptive to those staying in the unit below. Also, please keep speaking tone low and the volume of entertainment media low, especially in the evenings. Keep the music and TV volumes down.
• Parking
Each unit has only one parking space available to it. However, there is usually street parking along Wilson Avenue adjacent to Reiten Boatyard. Boat trailer parking is available just two blocks west near the public boat launch.
• Cleaning Assistance
Guests are asked to clean your dirty dishes, pans and utensils periodically during your stay. Please assist our housekeeping staff by placing wet towels on the bathroom floor. And, please remove garbage and recyclables to the appropriate receptacles outside in the parking lot.
• Picnic Tables and Grills
Two picnic tables are available on the property for guest use. Please clean up and wipe down the picnic tables after use, and remove trash placing it in a garbage receptacle.
• Grills
There are also two charcoal grills available for guest use. They are typically stored near the sheds on the south end of the parking lot. Guests should bring their own utensils and provide their own charcoal. Grills should not be brought onto the wooden decks. They should be used in the parking lot or on grassy areas only. Do not leave the charcoal burning in the grills unattended. Either close the vents to smother the flame or douse the charcoal with water. Please remove all debris and trash after grilling.
• Entertainment Media
Each unit has a television with cable access. Some units also have other entertainment media like a radio, stereo, etc. You are urged to keep the volume of media at a level where it can be easily heard within the unit.
• WiFi and High-Speed Internet
Complimentary WiFi and high-speed Internet is provided in each unit.
• Linens, Paper Products and Other Amenities

Rental Units at Reiten Boatyard
Unit 101
A beachfront studio condo located steps from Lake Superior with wonderful lakeside deck. There is a queen size murphy bed. Kitchen is equipped with a two-burner range, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. This is a studio condo with the living room, kitchen and sleeping area are combined in one space.
Unit 105
Comfortable ground floor condo with furnished deck adjacent to Lake Superior. There is a private bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a sofa sleeper in the common area so the unit can accommodate 4 people. The unit also has an efficient kitchen with a small stove/oven and refrigerator and a variety of small countertop appliances including a toaster oven, coffee maker and microwave.
Unit 107
Ground floor one-bedroom condo close to downtown Bayfield. The unit can easily accommodate 4 with a private bedroom with a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. The kitchen area has a small oven/range, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and microwave, as well as an assortment of cooking and eating utensils. A great little private deck with table and chairs is located on the lake side offering panoramic views of Lake Superior.
Unit 108
Wonderful beachfront, one bedroom condo. The unit was recently updated. It can accommodate 4 people with a private bedroom and a full-size sleeper sofa. The efficient kitchen has a small range, refrigerator and a variety of small appliances. It is a ground floor unit with a private entrance. The furnished private deck offers views of Madeline Island and Lake Superior.
Unit 109
Cozy waterfront condo located on the ground floor with a private entrance. There is a full kitchen equipped with all the appliances for a comfortable stay. A spacious main floor bedroom and sleeper sofa can accommodate 4 people. The unit is air conditioned. Sit and relax on the private deck enjoying amazing views of Lake Superior and Madeline Island.
Unit 110
A beautifully updated one-bedroom condo. This ground floor unit is fully furnished condo next to Lake Superior. Sleeps four with a private bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and full-size sleeper sofa. Wonderful kitchen amenities; with full oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator. Bathroom has custom Silestone vanity top & new faucet. Fully furnished with a nautical theme. The unit is air conditioned. Enjoy lazy mornings or evenings on the lakeside deck overlooking Madeline Island & the historic fishing boat activity nearby.
Unit 111
Great year-round lakeshore condo. This ground floor unit has a private entrance. It sleeps four comfortably with a queen bed in a private bedroom and sofa sleeper in the common area. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, oven/range, counter top appliances; toaster, coffee maker and microwave. Recently remodeled with a furnished private deck with beach and lake views.
Unit 201
This second-floor studio condo is right on the shore of Lake Superior. Recently remodeled, this unit is comfortable and well-equipped with air conditioning. This is a studio unit with queen sized murphy bed, kitchen and living room amenities is the same space. Kitchen equipped with a eating counter, small range, refrigerator and variety of small appliances. There is a private, sunny lakeside deck. This unit is so close to Lake Superior you can hear the water lapping onto the shore from anywhere in the unit.
Unit 202
A very comfortable second floor four season studio. Lots of wonderful amenities including Smart TV and air conditioning. Efficient kitchen with small refrigerator, stove and other common kitchen appliances. Very comfortable queen-size beds to sleep four. Furnished deck, perfect for sunrises or relaxing in the afternoons.
Unit 203
Wonderful four-season lakeshore condo. Located on the second floor with private entrance, this studio is comfortable, well equipped, nicely furnished and over looks Lake Superior. Experience a wonderful sunrise from the furnished private deck overlooking the adjacent beach and park. A quiet and convenient location!
Unit 206
Comfortable second-floor condo. Comfortable living room area with sofa, chairs and other amenities. The kitchen is modest, but features all the necessary amenities and updated appliances. There is a private bedroom with a queen size bed and upstairs; there are two twin beds in an upstairs loft. Four people are able to sleep quite comfortably! Double sized deck with an unobstructed view of Lake Superior and the sunrise over Madeline Island. This condo offers an updated comfortable modern vibe for a cozy relaxing stay.
Unit 209
A second-floor lakeshore condo with private entrance. Comfortable living room area and recently remodeled kitchen with lots of amenities, including a washer dryer and dishwasher. New oven/range refrigerator, dishwasher and variety of countertop appliances such as toaster and coffee maker. Unit also furnished with washer/dryer and air conditioner. The unit sleeps four on a queen bed in the private bedroom and two twins in a loft area. There is also a private deck overlooking Lake Superior.
Unit 210
Enjoy Lake Superior and Madeline Island views from this second story condo. Tastefully furnished and decorated, this unit offers one bedroom plus loft area with additional beds to sleep 4. The kitchen is nicely furnished with two burn stove top, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and utensils. There is a wonderful furnished deck over looking the neighboring public beach and Lake Superior.
